Description:
Automatic Content Recognition signals from Smart TVs (live + streamed content).
Value Proposition:
CTV targeting, cross-channel attribution, frequency capping, real-time audience insights.
Underlying data sources:
The CTV Feed (also referred to as Smart TV / ACR feed) is derived from Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) data collected from partner Smart TV manufacturers and connected TV devices. Underlying data sources include: OEM ACR partners (television manufacturers that embed ACR tech in their smart TVs). Connected device SDK and server to server integrations that collect viewing events.
Data collection methodology:
Device integration / ingestion: ACR-enabled TVs send pixel-level or content signature data when media is displayed. Content recognition & tagging: Proprietary algorithms match the on-screen content to known media assets (TV programs, ads, or apps). Normalization: Events are standardized across OEMs and time zones. Anonymization: Personally identifiable information is stripped, leaving device-level but anonymous ACR event data. Aggregation & enrichment: Data is joined with metadata (e.g., channel, program, ad creative). Feed creation: The processed ACR event data is formatted and published as the CTV Feed dataset.
