Every year, close to 1 million homeless pets are euthanized in the United States mostly due to lack of space. Through a network of skilled aviators, Pilots to the Rescue facilitates the transport of animals from overcrowded shelters, disaster-stricken areas, or situations of neglect to loving forever homes, rescue organizations, or veterinary care facilities.
Although a donation is not required to enter the sweepstakes, every dollar helps PTTR help more cats and dogs who are in trouble. The ASPCA has cited that the number of dogs and cats euthanized in U.S. shelters annually has declined from approximately 2.6 million in 2011! |
