For over 50 years, Live Steam and Outdoor Railroading magazine has been a staple in the home of devoted scale model builders. It is written for large-scale and small-scale model railroading builders and enthusiasts who use steam, diesel and gas engines in their locomotives, boats and other steam machinery. Many of these subscribers have extensive home workshops to build and maintain their equipment.
This largely mature, male audience have made investments in their creations and travel to various live steam events around the country. They are not just railroading enthusiasts and builders, they are DIYers of many trades including automotive. These hobbyists love the outdoors and creating masterpieces with their bare hands.
