Operation Rover Rescue Sweeps Donors Mailing List

Operation Rover Rescue (OR2) is a program of Operation Rapid Response, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers an array of programs and services. Many homeless veterans are also caring for a beloved animal companion. These animals provide emotional support and comfort, yet the responsibility can bring added stress to a homeless veteran’s life.

Operation Rover Rescue’s goals are to rescue homeless and abandoned animals, primarily dogs from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. 

They provide Rover Response bags to homeless fur babies that include:

• A drawstring backpack to hold the pet supplies. 
• A collapsible bowl to provide a clean place for the pet to eat or drink
• A slip lead leash to ensure the pet remains safe with their veteran owner
• A treat and a toy that provides the dog with comfort and happiness.
