Kids Wish Network Hero of the Month honors children between the ages of 3 and 18 who have faced and overcome difficult circumstances, often enduring a great deal of pain and suffering from a life threatening illness. Although their young lives are changed forever, their courage and spirit serve as an inspiration to us all.
Hospitals and child care facilities throughout the entire country participate in this program by nominating one child every month for the entire year. The nominee becomes their "Hero of the Month", and Kids Wish Network then recognizes the child as that facility's Hero of the Month.
The Hero of the Month is awarded with special gifts and a prepaid gift card. Paying tribute to these children's ability to overcome adversity can make a real and positive difference in their recovery.
