Agricultural Marketplace is comprised of professionals such as owners, farmers, ranchers and farmhands who are responsible for crop and livestock production and services. Farmers raise crops, livestock, poultry, fish and shellfish, or produce dairy products or nursery products, some raise both crops and livestock or produce food for their animals on the farm.
Crop production is an ever growing market. More people are using their land for food for themselves or for resale to wholesalers, distributors, mills and other farmers. They harvest a variety of crops such as grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts and plants. Crop producers usually work long hours and they repair thier own machinery as well as being the sole caretaker of their land.
Farmers owning Livestock are responsible for health and wellness and feeding of their livestock. Livestock includes cattle, hogs, sheep, goats, and poultry, while some farners speciliaze in raising horses, rabbits, bees, pets, fish and other fur-bearing animals.
Some farmers and ranchers provide agricultural services that are a necessity for other farmers to run their business such as pest control (applied through ground-spraying or crop-dusting), genetic engineering services (pest-resistant seeds for food and product crops), weed control and herbicides (applied by other service professionals) and renting out their own herd (for natural weed and brush control).
They purchase equipment, supplies and services for their businesses and recreation, as well as for their home and family.
