These elite traveling sportsman have purchased a non-resident hunting or fishing license for the state of Alaska to hunt moose, caribou, bear, bison, elk, goat, deer, wolf, muskox, waterfowl and ptarmigian or to fish for salmon, trout or hallibut. Many require an outfitter or guide services and use bush pilots to reach their hunting or fishing grounds. These upscale hunters and fishermen purchase items such as SUV's, trucks, ATV's, fishing tackle, rifles, shotguns, pistols, archery equipment, camping and cooking supplies, boats and motors, outerwear, deer stands and feeders, GPS units, decoys, and ammunition. They enjoy upper incomes and often spend more than $10,000 per expedition to bag that trophy mount.
They subscribe to outdoor publications and are members of conservation organizations. They hold the traditional American values of freedom and self determination and treasure their second amendment civil rights and often favor smaller government. They are on the Conservative side of the political specrum and donate to political campaigns that support their hobbies and interests.
