These shoppers (and there are a lot of them) like printed catalogs, really. They prefer the laborious task of turning pages, rather than sitting in front of a computer, typing what they want in search pages.
Inspired by its color and engaged by its imagery they hold a catalog in their hands, mark it up, put it down and pick it up again a day later. It can, and often does, stay in the house for weeks.
Furthermore, a catalog consumer is generally brand enthusiasts and will spend more.
