Hope Rises International (formerly American Leprosy Missions) is the oldest and largest nonprofit organization in the United States working to cure and care for people with leprosy and Buruli ulcer worldwide. Working in some of the world's poorest places, Hope Rises International works to heal the body and spirit and to restore dignity and hope to the lives of people suffering from leprosy and related diseases.
During its 108-year history, Hope Rises International has ministered to four million people in 42 countries around the world.
In association with other international nonprofit organizations, Hope Rises International has provided holistic care, including medical treatment and training, Christian outreach, safe water, sustainable food, education, job training and vaccine research to develop stable, growing communities where people can thrive. |
