DigDev Direct's active female golfer file comprises women mainly between the ages of 18 and 60 who are avid golfers, known members of golf courses or clubs and former professional female golfers.
While the age skew is relatively young, almost 80% of the women on this file are either indicated as having inherited sums of money ranging from the mid six figures to over a million dollars and/or have a household income of over $100k. Geographically, these women tend to live in warmer climates such as Southern California, South Florida, Texas or along the Gulf Coast. Notable exceptions for geo targeting on this file are a large portion of women who live in the New England area – most notably Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Maine.
Active female golfers also tend to be more often single than not; just over 35% of our female golfers are indicated as married or having a significant other. Of these women, even less have children, less than 20% of our total opted in female golfers have children and of that 20% the skew towards age is overwhelmingly towards our older female golfers. In addition, very few are listed as being employed and thus, have significant time to invest in consuming advertisements which best suit them.
These women are most likely to respond to ads for other types of sporting goods, and nearly all of the women on this file are indicated as being fans or participants of at least one other popular American sport. Tennis, Soccer, Lacrosse, Volleyball, Softball and Baseball are the most common auxiliary sports interests of the women on this file. As such, these “sporty” independent women are also highly likely to respond to offers for items such as tennis shoes, any accessory relating to other sporting interests, offers that revolve around the outdoors such as camping, hiking, biking, jogging, or even walking. Additionally, these women tend to have interests in gardening equipment such as lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and chemicals necessary for maintaining landscaping or a lawn. Overwhelmingly noted as home owners, these independent type women are also very susceptible to offers for home goods, appliances, do it yourself decorating products, electronics and furniture. Travel offers also have shown successful for these women – particularly travel to other locations with sporting – trips to places like the Rocky, Smoky or Adirondack mountains, any of the great lakes, Canada and the Dakotas have all performed well with these women who both have the means and the motivation to travel to locations that have other sporting opportunities readily available to them. This is a high income, high net worth, and high probability of travel skewed file that is best used for offers that revolve around nature or anything else where these women can feel “free” to roam alone and possibly take in some exercise in addition. |
