Clinical Psychologists perform a series of interviews and use that information to provide constructive advice to improve the patient's health. Some incorporate spirituality into therapeutic treatments. The goal is to address underlying psychological needs from a variety of perspectives. Psychologists may provide one-on-one or group therapy to addicts. A psychologist may encourage addicts to share their stories with others in order to learn through self-reflection. Mental Health professionals help addicts get to the root of their addictions to help them to learn behavioral management skills so that they are better able to cope with addiction.

Substance Abuse Addiction Psychologists help patients confront and deal with issues in their life such as divorce, depression, eating disorders, and phobias. Clinical psychologists deal with emotional, mental and behavioral problems in their patients.
