Residents of these eight states – Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin – will be critical in the 2022 midterm elections and in the run-up to the Presidential election in 2024. Control of the House of Representatives can change if an additional five of 435 seats are captured by Republican candidates in 2022, while only a single seat needs to flip to give control of the Senate back to the GOP.
Additionally, the issue of election integrity – or lack of it – resonates strongly in these states, and many of them are also embroiled in fights over voting rights.
