These are financial executives whose main
responsibility is to manage the company's
foreign exchange exposures such that: 1. the
composition of the company's portfolio of
foreign currencies is optimized vis-a-vis gains
on the position on some currencies, and risks of
losing on some currencies; 2. there is
maneuverability in situations where the local
monetary authority or authorities of the
countries their company does business with put
measures in place that make foreign exchange
transactions cumbersome.
