Subscribers are deeply involved in Our Iowa and in a sense, consider it their magazine—just as the name would suggest. They’re invited to submit stories, “Recipes They’re Proud to Share”, etc. and nominate candidates for such features as “The Prettiest Farm in Iowa” and “Country Characters”.

Reader involvement also includes participation in the magazine’s many contests,.  There is a hidden a "Lucky i" in three of the ads each issue.  These "i's" are a miniature version of the "i" in the Our Iowa logo.  Readers search the ads, and when they find all three of the i's, they advise the locations.  These entries are put in a pool and names are drawn out for the prizes. 

 

Our Iowa delivers an audience of sought after consumers with a profound sense of community. Nostalgic subscribers cherish past memories and how they shape their lives today.  Each issue delivers them content on Iowa its people and traditions that shaped them in the past, present and future.
