With the aging of the US population, some 61 percent of Americans suffer from at least one of 14 chronic ailments, and 68 percent of those treat their ailment with prescription medicines, according to the AC Nielsen Homescan Rx/OTC Service.
The Ailing Americans file features self reported ailment sufferers and prescription users who are actively pursuing cures and treatments for "what ails them".
