Jerusalem is considered a holy city by Jewish, Christians and Moslems alike. But the importance of this special place for Judaism cannot be overstated.
Jerusalem is the ancient, and modern, capital of Israel as well as being the site of both the first and second Temples. A divided city from 1948 to 1967, Jerusalem has been united since the conclusion of the Six Day War.
Donors to the United Jerusalem Fund are dedicated to the restoration of Jerusalem to its central position in the Jewish world. These contributors have given generously to support rebuilding and beautification projects around the Holy City and are determined to see Jerusalem remain united under Jewish sovereignty forever.
