Founded in 1934, the Door and Hardware Institute (DHI) is the premiere organization representing professionals in the architectural openings industry. With nearly 5,000 members and representing 20,000 end-users and industry professionals in the United States, Canada and abroad, DHI is the premier resource for distributors, manufacturers, sales agents, consultants, architects, specifiers, and contractors of the architectural openings industry. DHI members are primarily owners and senior and mid-level managers involved with the many aspects of selecting, specifying and purchasing doors and related door hardware, including builder’s hardware, doors, electronic security devices, technology, fire and life safety equipment, codes and ADA issues, washroom accessories and many specialty products.
