Founded in 1983, the American Military Society (AMS) is one of the largest and most active military organizations in the U.S. Members are active and retired military personnel from all branches of the Armed Forces. AMS develops and supports activities which promote the general well-being of members; upholds and defends the Constitution; supports national defense; and preserves the memories and traditions of the Armed Forces. Members also receive a bimonthly subscription to the AMS Advocate.
AMS members are 87% male, with an average age of 67, and pay $30 in annual dues primarily through the mail. 65% of members also regularly donate to various AMS fundraising appeals. Both members and prospects are selectable by gender, age, military rank, military branch, military status, active vs. retired, and phone number. See selection page for more detail.
