Founded in 1960, American Mensa is “The High IQ Organization.” There is only one qualification for membership: a score in the top 2% of the population on a standardized intelligence test. Members pay $59 in annual dues to belong to an organization that provides intelligent individuals an opportunity to meet other smart people at the local, regional, and national levels.
