TITLE: NCI SYSTEMS HARDWARE IN USE MIDRANGE & MAINFRAME UK
The NATIONAL COMPUTER INDEX (NCI), managed and maintained by Techgnosis, has since 1979 aimed to be the most authoritative source of information on the industrial and commercial use of IT (Information Technology) throughout the UK and Ireland.
Designed to offer a complete sales & marketing resource to the IT industry, the NCI provides you with a powerful, flexible and cost effective marketing database, putting you in direct contact with the IT market.
Systems included in this section are mainframes, minicomputers, multi-user systems, network servers, and advanced workstations (PCs are covered above). The NCI contains Installed Systems at the 10,000 user sites. Selections by type of system are available, however problems might arise over the definition of what precisely constitutes a mainframe and a mini computer, it is always best where possible to confirm model by model the systems that you wish to be included in your selection. The current total number of sites using our classification is as follows.
Number of Terminals Connected to the Main Systems: The NCI contains details on users terminals, held as a numeric field, ie ranges can be specified to meet your requirements. When added to the number of PCs on site this gives you the total number of users per site
Mid-Range & Mainframe Systems, Network Servers and Multi User Systems, by Series/Model: The NCI can identify different series/models systems. Listed here are some of the major models, grouping som under a series heading or a system type (mainframe, mid-range, multiuser/network server), however selections can be model/series specific eg IBM AS400/720, please contact us for full details.
