The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) fights for racial justice in the South and beyond, working in partnership with communities to dismantle white supremacy, strengthen intersectional movements, and advance the human rights of all people.
Founded in 1971, SPLC's legal department has won landmark cases and toppled remnants of Jim Crow segregation while the Intelligence Project monitors the activities of domestic hate groups and other extremists. In addition, the SPLC s award-winning Learning for Justice program provides educators with lesson plans and other resources free of charge to help teachers create nurturing classrooms where children learn to thrive in a diverse society.
Please note: If requesting both Southern Poverty Law Center and SPLC Action Fund, running Action Fund first is strongly recommended.
