The UPPER ROOM MAGAZINE is the most widely read daily devotional guide in the world. Through bulk and individual subscriptions, the large print edition reaches readers with each issue. Not surprisingly, the majority of subscribers to this edition are mature adults: 71% are 70 or older. Many have been readers of the magazine for a very long time, 40% for more than 5 years. During the year preceding the latest readership survey, 58% had purchased religious books; 81% had read at least one religious book. They are well-educated, with 47% having education beyond high school.
These subscribers are both blue and white collar who come from many different walks of life. What unites this group is their commitment to family, friends and community. They are socially conscious humanitarians helping to build a better world utilizing their disposable income to support research and the causes they believe in.
Subscribers are older and generous. They are philanthropic by nature, giving of their time, energy and money to many different types of charities. Any appeal that is humanitarian, political, child or animal welfare and/or health service related will be of interest to this family oriented audience. These charitable donors are proven contributors who attend fundraising events, walk-a-thons and other community building programs.
