Founded in 1969, the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) represents school psychologists serving the mental health and educational needs of children, young adults, and their families. NASP members have specialized training in both psychology and education and must be licensed and/or certified within their state. Members primarily work within public schools and provide services in areas such as mental health, child development, school organization, learning, behavior, motivation, school systems, effective teaching, and successful learning.
NASP members provide the core services of consultation, assessment, intervention, prevention, education, research and planning, and health care provision. In today’s quickly evolving world, all children and adolescents face problems from time to time. Therefore, NASP members must stay up-to-date on current trends, making them prime prospects for numerous psychology, mental health and education offers.
